Rathmore Financial
We’re currently working on a new website for Gordon Tate and Will Molony: Rathmore Financial. The logo has been designed by Christine Hammacott – the art of communication. The version that Christine sent me is a CMYK jpeg. When I scale it down using the WordPress media uploader the green in Rathmore changes colour. This happens on both Windows and Linux based servers. Below left is the medium sized version of the image as scaled by WordPress.
Click on it to view the large size version, then click on it again to see the original image. Did you see the correct image? NO, nor did I. Must be some strange WordPress bug associated with similar file names including image dimensions.
Now here’s the version that I produced using GIMP.

Steps were:
- Autocrop to remove excess border
- Convert colour to alpha (choosing white) in order to make the image transparent
- Scale to 150 pixels height; giving it a width of 356 pixels.
That’s more like it!
